Welcome

Phil Casagrande is at it again with his new single “Making it With You” originally performed by Bread in the 1970s.His new song and his interpretation of the melody evolved while he was walking on the beach. The song was playing amongst the beachgoers on a warm sunny day. As he looked around and saw many young couples, he thought back to this classic love song from the seventies that epitomizes the sharing of love which is why this piece transcends all generations. He channeled his passion to bring this song to new heights by bringing in two old friends to contribute to the revised recreation of this classic hit record. Phil has written, produced and played music in countless different styles and genres. It’s his passion and love. However, hearing this song on the beach, resonated with him in a different way reminiscent of his childhood days and great times when life was free and easy. This memory led to the recreation of a song which embodies a spirit which we can all appreciate today. Importantly, this song has never been recorded in the smooth jazz genre which makes it even more appealing. Phil Casagrande’s impressive career took off at the age of 26 when he wrote and played the music for the superb, free style dance song “Four Year Battle” in 1984 which helped to form the freestyle genre that is still popular to this day. The recording artist was the popular singer, Paula Anderson, and the twelve inch dance single was quickly picked up by Atlantic Records. The song quickly took off and hit billboard. During that period, Phil also worked with Jessica Cleaves from Parliament Funkadelic and continued to work with other professional artists. After distinguishing himself with this hit dance song, Phil continued to play multiple gigs and teach in the NY Tri – State area. He was known for his entertainment style at the coveted restaurant, Mulino’s, where he was the house solo pianist for 18 years. Beginning in 2012, Phil ventured back into his recording artist studio, Casagrande Studios, and produced the Manhattan Vibe Album symbolic of his NY City roots and experiences. This album garnered two singles that hit the smooth jazz charts. His success with this production was followed by the creation of the “Taken Off” Album which highlighted the song “ Destiny’s love” which was casted into the TV series El Juegeo de Las Llaves which still runs to this day. This production was followed by the creation of the “Missing You” Album in which the title song was used in the Las Pildoras De Mi movie available on Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, and You Tube. Since 2020 through present, Phil has been passionately recreating Cover Songs, such as “Christmas Time Is Here”, which charted on the Smooth Jazz charts. Similarly, Phil did a revised rendition of “Love’s Theme” (Radio Remix) that is available on the Amazon Smooth Jazz Yoga Playlist and of Bill Evans composition, “Peace Piece”, where he harnesses his gift as a solo piano artist available on Spotify and many other streaming outlets. Phil also recently wrote and released “Dreamy Sunday” which is a relaxed, chill, lo-fi song picked up by Spotify and You Tube playlists. Phil plans to continue to bring to life his love for a host of different musical styles and classics.
